Recovery assessment for CCTV, DVR and NVR storage
Video-recording systems typically depend on one or more storage devices to retain footage. If recordings become inaccessible because of storage failure, corruption, formatting or another data-loss event, the case can be assessed from the affected media.
Common CCTV / DVR / NVR situations
- The recorder no longer recognises one or more storage drives.
- Recorded video cannot be accessed or exported normally.
- The storage has been formatted or reinitialised.
- The file system or recording structure is damaged or inaccessible.
- A storage drive has failed or become unstable.
Preserve the source media
Avoid repeatedly initialising, formatting or writing new recordings to the affected storage where recovery is required. Continued recording can overwrite previously stored data.
Inspection fee
The current inspection/evaluation fee is Rs. 6,000 per HDD for CCTV / DVR / NVR recovery cases. Inspection fees are non-refundable. Recovery/service charges, where applicable, are quoted separately after assessment.
Assessment process
- Contact DataRecovery.lk and describe the recorder, storage and missing data.
- Provide the affected storage media for assessment where required.
- The case is evaluated for available recovery options.
- An assessment and quotation are provided.
- Recovery work proceeds only if appropriate and agreed.
